Rosemood app: designing for shared Infrastructure
Senior Product Designer
2024 - 2025
Cross-functional team of 6 to 8
Project Overview
Stepped in as the founding product designer to lead the transformation and update based on the tech-stack migration.
While the white-label system offered a foundation, individual design solutions were needed to meet the distinct requirements. It wasn’t just about mirroring the existing app - it was about creating a cohesive, standalone experience that respected shared infrastructure while allowing for product-specific differences.
Over 2 months, I rebuilt the core UX flows from the ground up, created a full Figma structure and design system (to ensure parity and code serving, through systematising design tokens, designing every component and creating brand-specific custom icon set).
The result was a product responsible for 14.9% of the brand revenue share.

kartenmacherei app: from MVP to ecosystem
Senior Product Designer
2024 - 2025
Cross-functional team of 6 to 8
Project Overview
As a founding designer, I led the end-to-end design process for transitioning a web-only product into a fully-fledged app experience.
Initiated the project with in-depth user research, competitive benchmarking, and MVP scoping. Defined core UX flows and wireframes, followed by moderated usability testing to validate assumptions early.
Created the visual language, interaction patterns, and all supporting assets - ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with mobile UX best practices.
Established and evolved a robust design system to streamline development and maintain UI consistency across features.
Defined the strategy and structure to evolve the app into a white-label solution, enabling rapid brand deployment on a shared codebase.
Post-launch, helped expand the product into a multi-offer ecosystem. Designed a mobile-optimized product configurator and supported business growth through strategic design thinking.

Smart partnership:
EURO 2020 VW Experience
Senior/Lead Product Designer
2020 - 2021
mini team of 3 + 3 freelancers
Project Overview
Following a pandemic-driven drop in user engagement and growing commercial pressure, UEFA EURO 2020* became a strategic opportunity. I led the initiative end-to-end - from concept through delivery - operating across UX and product to align user needs, business goals, and partner value into a single coherent experience.
The work centred on introducing a dedicated competition hub, new entry points, and custom asset creation to address existing usability gaps while raising the overall product's quality bar. A deliberate focus on storytelling, motion, and smart brand integration pushed the experience meaningfully beyond its previous level.
A key part of the role was brokering cross-functional alignment - acting as the primary interface between design, engineering, sales, and legal to ensure feasibility and timely delivery. The Volkswagen partnership added both commercial stakes and creative opportunity, bringing the most enjoyable, playful experience to our users.
*event kept the original name, even though it got postponed to 2021.

OneFootball
Unlocking Gamification: Quiz experience
Principal/Senior Product Designer
2022
Cross-functional team of 7
Project Overview
OneFootball is the football media platform with the largest digital football community in the world. Over 30 million fans enjoy the OneFootball experience via the app.
As the World Cup 2022 approached, we identified a key user problem: frequent users perceived the content feed as static due to the logic behind backend content updates. This led to a noticeable drop in engagement.
To address this, we introduced lightweight gamification in the form of competition-based quizzes. These interactive elements gave users a sense of novelty, fun, and personal challenge, refreshing the app experience for both loyal and seasonal users.
The initiative served dual goals: boosting engagement and testing the viability of interactive content formats.
Additionally, the feature was designed with long-term potential as a new, exclusive monetization funnel, opening the door to premium or sponsored quiz experiences in the future.

Senior Product Designer
2022
Cross-functional team of 7
Project Overview
As part of OneFootball’s planned product expansion, the iOS and Android apps needed to place greater emphasis on user account creation.
This step was essential for enabling a platform-based approach - connecting key business elements and unlocking future features from the broader OneFootball ecosystem.
From both a product and design perspective, our priority was to ensure that this transition delivered clear, immediate value to the user, making account creation feel meaningful rather than mandatory.

Principal/Senior Product Designer

Project Overview
Following the success of the in-app Quizzes, we explored additional interactive formats to deepen user participation within the OneFootball newsroom experience.
The goal: test whether expanding proven engagement patterns could drive sustained interaction, boost registrations, and improve retention - all while maintaining a lightweight footprint.
Working in a lean setup (designer + developer, with PM oversight), we rapidly launched an MVP to validate the concept.
Soon after launch, the feature opened a new sales channel, proving its value not only for engagement but also as a monetizable opportunity.

Design system: scaling design consistency across platforms
Senior Product Designer
2020 - 2023
Solo to 2 team members
Project Overview
After completing a major rebranding effort, we recognized the need to systematize our product experience to support a growing design team.
Initially, three closely collaborating designers were able to maintain consistency without a formal system. But with the company scaling and new hires on the horizon, we needed to establish a structured, empowering design framework.
I took the lead on:
Defining rules, file structures, and shared patterns across web and native platforms (IOS, Android)
Creating a scalable component structure based on a simplified Atomic Design approach
Documenting and maintaining the system, and onboarding new team members
Managing component sign-offs to ensure quality and consistency
The result was a robust, scalable design system that improved production speed, reduced friction for new designers, and ensured a consistent experience across platforms.

Craft: Illustration, animation, gaming background
After working in illustration, branding, and publishing, I stumbled into the world of games - and fell in love. It taught me how to build with teams, create joyful experiences, and sparked my passion for interactivity.
That creative foundation still shapes my product design approach today - combining custom visuals, motion, and brand language with a deep understanding of scalable, interactive systems.

Who am I in the end?
Design Thinker, Problem Solver, Artist, Explorer, Creative Mind, People Manager, System Lover
People evolve. Even if they're naturally inclined toward one field, life has a way of steering them into unexpected places. My early background was grounded in math and science - solid, analytical, structured.
But I chose a different path and pursued a classical art education instead.
Looking back, it felt like a personal evolution. I learned how to rely on myself, push through creative blocks, and express complex ideas visually. I explored a wide range of traditional crafts. But something was missing: interaction, collaboration, belonging. I’m not someone who thrives in isolation.
People often ask if I miss working with my hands, with physical materials. Honestly? I don’t. In product design, I feel like I’m doing even more - empowering people to accomplish their goals across devices and platforms. I build systems, follow best practices, and still leave space for creative “side trips” into my artistic roots.
To me, design is about merging structure with soul. And it turns out, you can bring both along for the ride.
